About Me

Hi, I am Stephanie Hoi-Nga Wong! 我的中文名字是黃凱雅. Thank you for visiting here.

I am native Hong Kong Chinese. I am incredibly proud of my culture, heritage and ancestors.

I had a two-decade career as a journalist. My husband’s illness and the birth of our son transformed my life path, eventually leading me to become a Wellness Coach. You can see my healing and spiritual journey here.

I integrate coaching (inspired by the Internal Family Systems model) with a stress-release and body awareness tool called TRE, Therapeutic Yoga and the energy healing practice of Reiki because I strongly believe in the importance of working with the mind, body and soul at the same time.

I AM: 

  • Certified as a professional coach under a program accredited by the International Coach Federation. 

  • Trained in Internal Family Systems for coaches by Guthrie Sayen.

  • Certified as a provider of TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing/Recovery Exercises).

  • Certified 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher by the Integral Yoga Institute in New York (IYI). 

  • Certified Therapeutic Yoga instructor by Cheri Clampett Borda at IYI. 

  • Certified by Kidding Around Yoga to teach children the ancient Indian practice.

  • Certified as a Reiki master. My teachers include Libby Barnett, who teaches many healthcare workers, Pamela Miles and Hamsa Spagnola from IYI.

I have lived and worked in Hong Kong, London, Shanghai, New York City and Southern California as a journalist. I’m a native Hong Kong Chinese and I’m fluent in Cantonese 你好！I also support multicultural clients and those who have experienced frequent relocations. 

As a journalist, I had interviewed company CEOs, politicians and entertainers as well as social activists and blue-collar workers. My experience in Corporate America and my global connections allow me to bring into my work many international perspectives and an understanding of different cultural and economic backgrounds.
