One Major Insight From My Career Change
I am sharing one major insight that I have gained from my career change.
The reason I am doing it is that I have been hearing a lot of one-sided thinking when clients and people I have come into contact with contemplate about the pros and cons while making a major decision.
It’s always almost about fear.
Consider this as a possibility, fear can be your ally as I wrote in my previous post.
Sometimes fears can overshadow the positives.
Before you are paralyzed by the dark clouds, I’d love to offer you some light.
I want to help you see more possibilities.
LET THE LIGHT IN!

Once I started taking actions towards my goals, and with each step that I took,
my mind and heart opened up, like doors opening up in front of me.
I sometimes saw that as a vision, showing up as a mental image.
Sometimes, I felt an energy shift inside me.
Later I realized, I walked towards a future that I would have no way of predicting.
Here’s why:
When I started walking that path, I started doing things and making choices that surprised me BIG time.
For example:
I started teaching yoga (Teaching? I had never wanted to teach anything before, EVER!)
I LOVED teaching restorative yoga, much more than the regular fitness poses I used to teach.
I started my own business (NEVER EVER had I considered it before.)
I got interested in spirituality (I don’t have a religion but the idea that there’s something greater than me intrigued me more than before).
I have started doing my own taxes so I can learn about it. (Never had I ever wanted to do that!)
I have been writing and showing up boldly about my personal journey. I created singing and speaking videos. (In my previous blog post, I wrote about I preferred to hide before!)
I ENJOY learning (I had once vowed that I would never return to school. Now, I realized learning what I truly love is so fulfilling!)
I ENJOY reading books and I am hungry for certain knowledge. (Here is another moment when I had told myself, “I don’t see myself liking reading all that much.”)
Hey, I have a pretty good memory. I still can study, learn and remember training materials, years after I finished college.
They are just a few examples. With new choices and actions, new, unexpected opportunities came.
You see what I mean?
You canNOT predict your future. You simply can’t.
There is little accuracy in the future I had imagined for myself.
There is no way of predicting your future based on your current thinking/beliefs/knowledge, experiences and your past.
Your future is never set.
There could be endless possibilities that are beyond what human intelligence can foresee.
Nothing is certain in life.
There’s no protection from your discomfort.
Eventually, none of that matters.
Each step is a learning opportunity for yourself.
You walk, you explore, you make choices, you adjust, you fall, you come back up again and you adapt.
You naturally learn to navigate your own way on the path.
The beauty of it all is that you will discover you are more than what you think you are capable of.
That is what personal growth is. This is not just about career change, this has to do with everything that you do in your life.
You will gradually learn to tap your inner resourcefulness and trust yourself.
It is that simple.
It is us who think everything has to be complicated.
If any of this resonates with you and you would like some help, I can help you see clearer and support you in your journey.
I listen to your fears and desires. I inspire you to take action. It’s a process of co-creation — you and me.
Then you will know that it’s so good that you’ll never have to walk alone again.
