Why Am I Inspired to Work With Parents?

My son, Julian, on his nature walk.

I had never thought about coaching parents before until I noticed recurring common patterns in adults. They are the kind of pandemics we don't talk about enough.

☘️ Existing in their head are voices of self-criticisms, doubts, fears, worries and more.

☘️ There are the feelings of shame, guilt, confusion and a sense of “not-enoughness.”

☘️ "I’m not good enough, I don't do enough. I’m not fast enough. What I have is not enough" ----> The feeling of scarcity.

☘️ They tell me stories of their past, their childhood and upbringing. I listened to how the experiences of a wounded child creates certain negative impact in their lives and throughout their adulthood.

☘️ I notice the ideas that they hear over and over again throughout their lives are left unquestioned and eventually form their beliefs and truth.

I see how all of that can have an impact on their relationships at home and with their children.

I see how that gets passed down from generation to generation.

Imagine a child growing up thinking these in their head:
"I am enough."
"I am loved."
"I am safe."
"I am well."
"I know who I am."

That work starts with parents thinking and BEING all of these themselves first.

❤️ To me, one of the ways to end the world’s suffering is to heal the parents' pains and to help them meet their needs and improve their wellbeing, so they can transfer the positives to their children as much as possible.

That work starts with parents. To me, that is the most important and radical work for themselves and the wellbeing and healthy development of children.

In 2023, every time you sign up for one of my services, I will donate a portion of your fees to a non-profit of your choice to support children and families.

Pretend City Children's Museum is on my selected list. What they do is phenomenal. It is a place to spark children's imagination and their learning about the real world through pretend play (like you can do pretend shopping in a Trader Joe's!).

It also gives FREE development assessments to the little ones and provides resources to parents to ensure their healthy development and that they have what is needed to be ready for school success.

What's more. They will be opening a new museum in a few years. MORE resources will be provided to children and families. How exciting!
