Bless to Love: The Way to Find Inner Peace

This post is inspired by the book, The Gentle Art of Blessing, by Pierre Pradervand.

To bless is to love.

To love is a way to reach the ultimate inner peace.

It's impossible to love and judge at the same time, including judgement over people or situations.

When my nerve came before I dived into the sky two weeks ago, I blessed the entire city below me, as well as my diving buddy Sid.

Then the calm and peace swept over me.

In the past few days when I upset drivers on the road or when I got upset by other drivers, I immediately replaced the upset and anger with a blessing -- for their happiness, joy, health and financial abundance in their lives.

Then I continued my life with no upset or anger for No One is Worthy of My Judgment, Upset and Anger. Everyone is Worthy of My Love.

The other day when I practiced blessing myself during my morning swim, I saw:

A part of me that was fearful.
A part of me that doubted myself.
A part of me that had worries.
A part of me that had sadness.
A part of me that had joy.
A part of me that had hope.
A part of me that experienced calm and peace.

I blessed each part of me, and I saw in my mind’s eyes that they smiled back because they were seen, heard and appreciated.

To bless myself is the ultimate self-love. That gives me peace. If this is how blessing can do to my parts, imagine what impact it can have on the people around you and the world?

This is my favorite spiritual practice at this stage of my life.

Have you tried it before? Would you be willing to give it a try? I would love to hear your experience.
