From Childhood Pain to Empowerment
A Story Told by Executive Headhunter Stella Leaburn.
Everyone has a story to tell.
It was a privilege to listen to the story of Stella Leaburn, an executive headhunter who talked about her childhood traumas, the impact they have had on her life and also the anger, sadness and a sense of aloneness she felt.
With years of support from coaches, therapists, mentors and others, she was able to rebuild her life. She was determined to stop the transgenerational traumas from being passed down to her children.
She treats her two children with love and respect.
“Don’t do anything just to please me, please you,” she tells them.
Stella has a two-decade long career working in C-suite human capital. Based in London and Frankfurt, she is also a brand and image consultant and a public speaker. Her speeches primarily focus on her twin career loves — elevating women in the workplace and mentoring the next generation.
In our interview, Stella talked about:
☘️ The death of her father when she was a toddler.
☘️ Her childhood traumas.
☘️ Running away from home.
☘️ The help and kindness she received from her ex-boss.
☘️ Her healing journey from her childhood experiences.
☘️ Rebuilding trust in people.
☘️ How her experiences shape parenting.
☘️ Encouraging open dialogue with her children.
☘️ Empowering her children and being a positive role model for them.
This is the kind of story that gives me hope and optimism in this world. 🌷
