Loving Your Children More Powerfully
That starts with loving yourself first
There are days when you have super fun and loving times with your children, and then there are days you just feel totally frustrated and impatient.
Unkind words come out of your mouth and you feel terrible about it afterwards.
In my video below, I talked about the importance of loving yourself back in situations like that.
There are always going to be ups and downs in life. Love doesn't mean you have to feel loving 100% of the time.
What if your impatience also comes from love? The way you scream at your children today doesn’t necessarily mean you are not loving. It can mean you are under stress or you are overwhelmed for doing your best for them or for whatever reasons.
If you can accept yourself (instead of criticizing yourself) and love yourself as you are, that is the best gift for your children because then they can learn to love exactly the way they are.
Loving yourself means forgiving yourself and being gentle and kind to yourself.
